$MOCA Utility

Payment Currency

Partners who integrate with the Moca network are encouraged to accept $MOCA as a means of payment for their products and services. In doing so, they open their economies to users from within and beyond the Moca Network and can allow for value exchange between different communities.

Some examples of payments include:

  • SocialFi Platform - “Pay to Play” fee model including network-published games, products, and platforms

  • Commerce - (In-App / In-Product) - Currency for digital purchases (including marketplace fees) within the Moca Network (including subscriptions, consumables, paywalls, and offer walls)

  • Gameplay Sinks - Adoption of $MOCA as a token for spending on premium purchases such as NFT mints that have gameplay utility, gameplay item upgrades and seasonal Battle Passes.

Transaction Fees

$MOCA is core to the operation of the Network. The network offers various services that partner projects will use to bootstrap their growth and communities. These services are only accessible by spending $MOCA on a “pay per usage” basis. As a result, we refer to these as “transaction fees”

Example network transaction fees:

  • Abstracted Gas Fees - One token to pay for gas fees across many chains

  • Digital Identity Service - Identity creation, management, and KYC as a service

  • Reputation Attestation Oracle - Reputation-based composable identity

  • GrowthFi and SocialFi Protocol Fees - Access products to create growth and social flywheel

Proof-Of-Loyalty

Users can prove their loyalty to the network to earn rewards and unlock access to various benefits within the ecosystem.

Loyalty is proven using a combination of the number of $MOCA held and hold period (duration). The more $MOCA held for longer, the more potential benefits users can unlock.

Examples include:

  • Participation-oriented Ecosystem Rewards - Distribution of tokens from across the network to incentivize users to participate. Rewards are proportional to loyalty (net positive value added) within the network and adoption of $MOCA.

  • Digital Asset Accelerator - Access to opportunities where users can be rewarded for aiding the launch of a product or NFT. Access to the Digital Asset Accelerator is gated to users who stake a specific amount of $MOCA.

Governance Voting

$MOCA is core to the governance layer of the Moca DAO.

Using $MOCA, participants can:

  • Vote in favor / against the adoption of Moca Improvement Proposals (MIPs) in the Moca DAO

  • Vote in favor / against the adoption of Improvement Proposals in various partnered DAOs in the form of delegated voting (the Moca DAO votes on behalf of its participants)

Representation of Culture

The Moca Network of rich cultural verticals in gaming, music, sports, and more will organically put $MOCA in the hands of active and loyal users of culture. Composable digital identity in combination with $MOCA, in a reputation-based economy, will serve as the target audience for projects which find this specific group of audience appealing for product market fit.

By holding the digital identity and $MOCA in the network, holders will potentially be rewarded in a decentralized way, and be attracted to other projects within the network.

GrowthFi Mechanisms

The Moca Network entails a suite of growth products that incentivize the growth of the network.

$MOCA is key to this incentive layer, solidifying the value proposition for all participants in the economy and acting as a flywheel for future growth. Network growth is measured, not in terms of users but in terms of economic purchasing power and reputation.

One such growth product is a PointFi system where users are incentivized to engage and remain loyal to the network, further enhancing its strength.
